My name is Mylene. I am a self-taught baker and the creator of Pophaus Desserts. What started out as a favor for a family friend turned into a life changing service.

See...I have been a legal assistant/paralegal since I was in college. In time, I graduated with my BS in Administration, got married and had a child. Since having my son, Owen, I have worked in law and accounting. Being a career mom, I started to miss out on many of his milestones and decided to step back from my career and become a SAHM (stay at home mother). Baking was what I did on my down time. I took specialized on-site and online classes, studied techniques from watching many YouTube videos, and lots, and lots of practice - all while I raised my child. As the time passed, I was able to hone my craft and take small orders here and there.

 

Pophaus Desserts is an at-home bakery located in Lancaster, California. Pophaus is making a name within the local community, and word has also spread through family and friends state and nationwide.
